I'm the Franchisee in Randburg

My name is Cheryl Orchard

I am the owner of the Randburg Franchise since December 2014.  It was a franchise that was running, but needed a lot of development and TLC.

With being in the Corporate world for over 30 years, I needed a challenge and I bought the business, with no experience, but was ready to learn and develop with the children.

That was the best decision I had made in a very long time and I can honestly say that my business is my happy place and I am having fun, enjoying watching the children develop and grow, term after term and by doing this, it does not seem like work at all.

Over the years, my team and I have built up the franchise, having the children being first priority and their whole well-being.

Our pottery children’s lessons and smiles have developed in leaps & bounds and we are currently the top Beaux Arts Franchise in South Africa, which is an awesome achievement.

Over the last 2 years, as with any business all over the world, it has been very challenging, but we managed to persevere and beat all odds.

We, as a team are motivated, ready for 2023, to receive the children and to have plenty of fun, open their minds to creativity and develop their skills as all children should.

My team consists of two wonderful and experienced teachers – Teacher Lydia (who was a nursery school teacher for many years) and Teacher Kim (who runs the Kid’s Ministry at her church), they are absolutely fantastic with the children.

May 2023 be a blessed and wonderful year for all.

Why choose us?

There are three pillars that our lessons stand on:

  1. Creativity Development: With over 26 years of creativity development experience, a book written about it, and our program designed in conjunction with the President of Creativity SA, we believe we are at the forefront of this game in South Africa.
  2. Fine Motor Skills Development: The clay gives the small hand muscles a workout like nothing else, combined with correct pencil grip with the paintbrush and we’ll have your child “big school” ready in no time. Many other extramurals focus on gross motor skills, and we believe that should be used synergistically with our program.
  3. Fun! This is probably the most important part of our lessons. Yes, we can provide lots of value to the child but it will be lost on them if they aren’t laughing, singing and making jokes during the lessons
